LUNCH IN ATHENS

I took myself to Athens for four days during a sweaty, hot July to search and scan for new goodies. I felt the need to experience being alone, also no one could join me at that time so I went by myself.

I found this great cozy hotel to stay in - The Residence Aiolou Hotel & Spa in the center of Athens but still a quiet area. I got a small, nice room, with a little balcony, perfect for a solo traveler.

The temperature was 33 degrees in an ultra sunny Friday afternoon, it was so warm outside, there was nothing else I could have wear other then my Lavanya Sarong. I decided to go for a massage after a lot of walking and working and found this spa located at the Coco mat hotel, which also has a swimming pool on the roof with a gorgeous view of the city.

After a relaxing roof pooling and a massage, I continued the randevu with myself. It was the perfect time for a Greek lunch and a cold beer. Right across the street from the hotel, there was a small fish resturant, not too fancy, half full. I picked a table outside, odred the grilled sardines and a small beer.
The hour was late afternoon, there was a good breeze, good music, good people and very delicios food. Best feeling ever.
